Capita Snowboards

Capita Snowboards

Capita Snowboards was founded in Seattle, Washington by former pro snowboarders Blue Montgomery and Jason Brown in 2000.

In 2013, the Elan snowboard factory, located in Furnitz, Austria, declared bankruptcy and Capita Snowboards purchased ownership of the snowboard factory. Capita Snowboards retained former Elan Austria CEO, Michael Kollman to manage day-to-day operations in addition to 50 highly skilled factory workers.

Since the brand’s inception, Capita has been known for its controversial graphics, often collaborating with artists like TJ Schneider or Corey Smith (former Capita pro riders) for their snowboards for sale. Notable snowboards for sale include The Black Snowboard of Death, The Super Nova, Mercury, The and the Spring Break Slush Slasher.

Capita team riders include Scott Stevens, Kazu Kokubo, Jess Kimura, Kevin Backstrom, Brandon Cocard, Mike Rav, Johnny O’Connor, and Phil Jacques.
